The owner of the Bed and Breakfast gave us the discount of 50 dollars a night, which was really nice. The house was presentable. The bathroom is very small, I had to clean out the bathtub because of hair and I don’t know what else. After finally being able to get in the shower, I felt like I was going to fall through. The owner put candles, spray, and scents throughout home, which gave it a pleasant smell; however, the smell of the scents started leaving the house our 3rd day. The bathroom had a horrible odor; mold was all around the bathtub which caused my husband to get sick. I spoke with the owner and she refunded the money for the 2 nights that I didn’t get to say. She openly admitted when she was refunding me that there’s a problem with the back bedroom, but that wasn’t the problem with us. The kitchen window in the back is busted out as well. Although this house is close to Booneville I HIGHLY recommend not stepping one foot in this house, go to a hotel. It’s kind of ironic; when we first stepped into the home with her I was telling her how grateful we were to have such a wonderful home to stay at. She was stating how terrible the hotel is in Beattyville is. We stayed our last night at TravelWise and it was LUXURY compared to this Bed and Breakfast.
